With Henderson, Nevada being one of the fastest growing metro cities in the West, they knew they were going to need a fantastic school system in the community. So, to answer the demand of the incoming families, Henderson has created what some call one of the best school systems in the state. At least it is likely one of the largest.
Henderson, Nevada has 29 elementary schools in their school system. That is quite a few for a city of its size. In fact, most cities that size overcrowd their schools with maybe around 18 primary schools for the whole city and county. Henderson will not stand for that type of school system however and has created more schools so their students will get the primary level attention they need to foster great learning skills.
In addition to their numerous elementary schools, Henderson, Nevada has nine middle schools and nine high schools for their students. The schools are quite focused on keeping kids in school and positive learning. There are many interesting programs for middle and high school children to partake in.
In addition to public school systems, the city is also quite near to many colleges and post secondary schools. There is the Community College of Southern Nevada and their two Henderson campuses. There is also the Nevada State College campus and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Not only are their public colleges however, there are also quite a few private colleges for educational needs. The Art Institute of Las Vegas and the Culinary Institute of Las Vegas are near. DeVry University, ITT Technical Institute, University of Southern Nevada, University of Phoenix, and many more are present for students to take advantage of.
