Evictions And House Arrest
Evictions And House Arrest

A person is placed under house arrest when the prison does not seem to be an appropriate measure enough. People get placed under house arrest for several reasons like crime, misdemeanor, or any type of law breaking issues. A house arrest is a slighter punishment than prison sentence, and person under this type of punishment may not have committed a very big crime.

House arrest is normally given to high profile people or on the other hand, it can be illegal immigrants into the country.

An eviction notice is given to people who need to vacate the house that has been rented. An eviction notice is usually a court order. The judge passes the decision for the relief of the home owner or landlord. A person who has been given an eviction notice by the court will need to vacate the premises with immediate effect.

Evictions and house arrest are quite opposite situations. If a person has been given an eviction notice and another situation arises that he or she would have to be under house arrest, then the legal decision of house arrest would rule. A house arrest is made for crime, and a person who is being punished has to serve out this sentence. So, it will ride over the eviction notice automatically until a certain conclusion has been reached about the house arrest.

It is very rare that both the situations should arise at the same time. Sometimes people are also monitored electronically while under house arrest. They have very limited contact with the outside world.
